Charlestown library is set to undergo a refurbishment, including new carpet, painting and other minor improvements, to enhance the customers’ experience at the site.
Council’s Manager Arts, Culture and Tourism, Jacqui Hemsley, said Charlestown Library is a popular facility in our community with more than 3000 people visiting each week to attend programs and events.
“This refurbishment will help to brighten up the facility and give it a fresh facelift for our customers while we undertake a feasibility review of future improvements we can make to the management and service delivery of this facility,” Ms Hemsley said.
Charlestown Library will be closed from Thursday 25 April until Monday 20 May, while the refurbishment process takes place.
While the facility is temporarily closed, The Rover, Council’s mobile library will provide a range of library services at Charlestown Swim Centre from 10am-midday on the following dates:
· Wednesday 1, 8 and 15 May
· Saturday 27 April and 11 May
After hours, return options are available at Belmont, Cardiff and Speers Point libraries. Help with loans, renewals and reservations are available through the library website library.lakemac.com.au or by contacting any branch of Lake Mac Libraries.
