Lake Macquarie City Council’s Me2 Program will be returning again this September, with a month of free and inclusive activities on offer for people of all abilities.
Council’s Acting Manager Community Planning, Andrew Bryant, said the Me2 Program builds on the success of community programs already offered by Council, including the popular Over 55s program and You’re Kidding Me event.
“Throughout September, we will be delivering a diverse program of free events catering to all Lake Macquarie residents,” Mr Bryant said.
“From cycling events, yoga classes, sports days and more, there is something to suit all abilities and interests.
“Council is committed to making sure all of our residents are given ample opportunity to become involved in the community – to learn, be active, meet people and have some fun. Programs like Me2 help us achieve this goal.”
More information on how Council is supporting inclusiveness and accessibility within the community can be found in Council’s Disability Inclusion Action Plan and at lakemac.com.au.
All activities in the program are free and accessible for people of all abilities. Visit the Me2 Program events calendar to see what activities are on near you.
