Westpac Rescue Helicopter Service was busy carrying out two missions overnight in the Hunter and further north to Coffs Harbour.

The first incident was a motor vehicle accident on Maitland oad Bishops Bridge where reports indicate a vehicle went of the road and a 37-year-old old female suffered head injuries.After being treated by paramedics and the helicopter clinical team at the scene, the patient was flown to John Hunter Hospital for further treatment.

Not long after, the helicopter service was tasked with a retrieval team flying to Coffs Harbour Hospital to pick up a 64-year-old female suffering a medical condition. She was also flown to John Hunter Hospital.
