Shingle Splitters Point, located at Shingle Splitters Park, Queen Street, Balcolyn is a great place to drop a line from the shore. Known for Flathead and Whiting this spot is popular with locals. Just remember to lookout for Razorfish on the water’s edge.
Bring your own, or hire a boat for a day, and cruise the lake’s calm waters at your own pace. While cruising the Lake, be sure to visit popular fishing spots, The Drop Over and Pulbah Island. The Drop Over can be accessed from Village Bay Close in Marks Point and is known for Flathead, Bream, Whiting, Jewfish, Tailor, Kingfish and Prawns, while Pulbah Island is accessible from Dobell Park, Dobell Drive, Wangi Wangi and is a great spot to catch Bream and Tailor.
