Charlestown District Netball – Fourth spot up for grabs

Two games remain in the Charlestown A Grade Netball competition and last year’s premiers, Job Done are locked in a two-way battle with Purnells for that pivotal fourth position in the finals.

Heat, 36 points, have first place locked away, with Watters, 32 points, holding down second spot, and Crossfire, 28 points, seemingly safe in third spot.

Purnells and Job Done are both on 24 points after Purnells went down 54-30 to premiership favourites Heat at the weekend, and Job Done easily accounted for Fury 70-32.

In the run home, Job Done play Watters, a tough opponent, and Sass, while Purnells have to contend with Crossfire, four points higher on the ladder, and last placed Fury.

In the event of a tie for fourth spot, and that is the likelihood, the team with the best goal average will go forward, and the lower team will drop out.

Round 12 results:

Job Done defeated Fury 70-32

Watters defeated Sass 58-34

Crossfire defeated Fever 53-37

Heat defeated Purnells 54-30
