Lake Macquarie has everything you need to keep the kids occupied these school holidays, with a range of fun activities happening throughout the July break at Lake Mac Libraries, the Lake Macquarie City Art Gallery and Lake Mac Swim Centres.

Here is just a small slice of what Lake Macquarie City Council has to offer:

  • Children looking to improve their confidence in the water before summer can take part in West Wallsend and Charlestown swim centres’ intensive learn-to-swim program from Monday, July 9 to Friday, July 13.
  • Kids can let their creative flair run wild, decorating their own pet portraits at Wangi Wangi Library on Monday, July 9 or join in art activities and storytelling at Lake Macquarie City Art Gallery on Wednesday, July 11.
  • Discover the world of coding using Ozobots. This workshop at Edgeworth Library is aimed at first-time coders on Thursday, July 12.
  • Learn the latest CPR and first aid techniques from our Lake Macquarie City Council beach lifeguards at Speers Point Library on Friday, July 13 from 2pm to 3pm.
