Man charged over alleged murder at South Tamworth

Police will address the media this morning, ahead of the court appearance of a man charged over the alleged murder seven weeks ago of a young South Tamworth woman.

The body of 22-year-old Teah Luckwell was located inside her home on Wednesday, March 28.

Detectives from the State Crime Command’s Homicide Squad and Oxley Police District established Strike Force Penola to investigate the circumstances surrounding her death.

Following extensive investigations, a 27-year-old man was charged with murder yesterday (Tuesday, May 15).

He is due to appear via audio visual link at Tamworth Local Court today (Wednesday, May 16).
