Job Done’s goal defender does her utmost best to stop a Fury shot at goal on Saturday

On a cold, blustery Saturday afternoon not conducive to goal shooting, Heat’s two hotshots, Claire Kowald and Lena Cartwright shot the lights out in round five of Charlestown A Grade Netball.

Brilliantly supported by slick work at the back of the court and through the centre, the Heat continued on their winning way with a 53-22 win over a Purnells outfit, which tried valiantly to stem the tide of goals.

Heat remain the only undefeated side in the competition with a classy young lineup hellbent on turning around their runner-up fortunes from season 2017.

In other A Grade matches on Saturday, Job Done found form in defeating Fury 58-33, Watters proved too good for Sass 41-21 and Crossroads and Fever played out a thriller, with Crossfire scraping home 46-43.

Round 5 Ladder

Heat 15
Watters 13
Purnells 11
Crossfire 11
Job Done 10
Sass 9
Fever 5
Fury 5
