Cardiff dominated the Newcastle Squash Spring Pennants Grand Final Day, winning six of the nine titles on offer on Saturday at their home courts, including the men’s and women’s top grades.
Just four points separated both Cardiff teams in the women’s decider, with Michelle Barry, Gina Williams and Tracey Evans getting home 2/1 ahead of Jodie Spicer, Lynn Herring and Jordan Wallis.
In men’s Super Squash, Mick Fullick, son Brad and Luke Collins won a tense 2/1 rubber over University’s Todd Noon, Jeremy Ryan and John Carroll.
As well as the top grades, Cardiff took out the men’s and women’s A1 titles, and men’s A2 and A4 divisions.
Cardiff’s next competition will be their Summer Mixed Competition, commencing in January.
