LakeMac Today has been reliably informed that the address by local artist Sharon Davson at the Liberal Party Country Conference at Port Stephens last weekend was met with much positivity by members. Sharon spoke about a potential Arts Heart in the disused heritage buildings within Morisset Hospital.
As Davson rose to the podium she greeted her audience with the following:
“Welcome to Arts Heart in the Morisset Hospital. Make sure you haven’t left anything in your vehicles as your bus into the hospital grounds is about to depart. Please step aboard, and how wonderful it is to see so many Members of Parliament visiting the Arts Heart today.”
“Our tour includes…The drop off and pick up point is the Centre for Hope Café and adjoining gift shop. It is located right near the environment and wildlife education centre. Enjoy your day.”
Sharon surprised her whole audience with the ‘’virtual tour of all the arts facilities and activities and importance of being respectful to the working hospital and its environment.”
And those in attendance got “on board her bus’’ and are now looking to see where the ride may lead and what aspects of that Arts Heart vision could be implemented. This will evolve in the coming weeks and months.
All aboard for this well considered Arts Heart community project in the Morisset Hospital.
